Personal requirements:

  • Craftsmanship
    • Practical skills in handling tools and machines are necessary, as a lot of work is done in the workshop or on systems.
  • Technical understanding
    • A good understanding of technical interrelationships and processes is crucial, as the work often involves complex systems and devices.
  • Basic interest in electronics and technology
    • Basic interest in electrical systems and how they work
  • Mathematics skills
    • Basic knowledge of Mathematics is important in order to be able to carry out calculations and understand technical Drawings.
  • Physical resilience
    • In some areas, the work can be physically demanding, so a certain level of fitness is an advantage. Work is sometimes carried out in confined spaces and on ladders and scaffolding.
  • This training position is not barrier-free

These personal requirements help to ensure that trainees are successful during their training as an Electronics Technician for automation technology so that they can later work effectively in their profession.

  • 3,5 years
  • Training usually begins on 01.08.
  • A shortening is possible under certain conditions
  • The working time is 39 hours a week
  • There is an annual vacation entitlement of 30 workdays

since 01.02.2025:

  • 1,236.82 euros in the first year of training
  • 1,290.96 euros in the second year of training
  • 1,340.61 euros in the third year of training
  • 1,409.51 euros in the fourth year of training

Special annual payment on December 1st in the amount of 95% of the vocational training remuneration

Final examination bonus of € 400.00 for successfully passing the final examination on the first attempt

  • Part 1 of the journeyman’s examination in the 2nd year of training
  • Part 2 of the journeyman’s examination at the end of training at the IHK Rheinhessen
