Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz endeavors to make the websites of the domain “uni-mainz.de” accessible. The legal basis is the State Act on Equal Opportunities for People with Disabilities (LGGBehM) and the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance Rhineland-Palatinate (BITV RP).

The websites of the domain “uni-mainz.de” are currently designed to be accessible from a technical point of view. As part of the university-wide website relaunch, an adaptation of the framework layout and barrier-free access is planned. A prior change to the design of the websites constitutes a disproportionate burden on Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz pursuant to Section 7 (3) LGGBehM. This means that it’s exempt from the obligation of barrier-free access within the meaning of Section 7 (1) LGGBehM.
